Was Dana Nessel Celebrating Her Birthday In Kalamazoo on April 19, 2022?

A few months ago the KGOP reported on the breaking story of an alleged sexual assault that occurred at a local Democrat Party fundraiser . Recent developments in the case has led to charges being filed, but there are questions that still need to be answered.

According to a press release by the Attorney General’s office

“Today, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel charged Jonathan Byrd, 40, of Battle Creek with one count of fourth degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. Until recently, Byrd had been a prominent figure in Michigan politics and governmental lobbying on behalf of his employer, the Michigan Laborers’ District Council, of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, or LiUNA.

Byrd is alleged to have forcibly moved the victim’s hand onto his penis at a social gathering in Kalamazoo County in April of 2022. Byrd and the victim worked in the same occupational field, and Byrd held a position of much influence in the Capitol and around the state in the realm of government and politics that provided a significant power imbalance between him and the victim.

“In the state of Michigan we will hold sexual predators accountable no matter how well-connected they are and irrespective of whatever prominence they enjoy in the dealings of our government,” said Nessel.

Originally this case was handled by Kalamazoo Prosecutor Jeff Getting, but was then handed off to the Attorney General’s office because of Getting’s relationship with the victim and Byrd.

A local source told us that the case would be re-assigned to a local prosecutor in a neighboring county, either Calhoun or Van Buren County. But that didn’t happen, instead the AG office kept the investigation internal and charged Byrd with a misdemeanor, equivalent to a slap on the wrist.

But there’s an interesting revelation that may tie Attorney General Dana Nessel even closer to this case. The alleged sexual assault occurred at a Democrat Fundraiser in Kalamazoo on April 19, 2022.

According to social media posts, Dana Nessel was in Kalamazoo, on that exact day, at a fundraiser with State Rep. Julie Rogers.  April 19th also happens to be Dana Nessel’s BIRTHDAY.

In a video obtained from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, a person who was interviewed about that night said “they were there celebrating”….what was everyone celebrating? Perhaps Dana’s Birthday.

It would be unethical for a prosecutor to investigate and bring charges for a sexual assault that occurred at their own Birthday Party.

Will we ever know the truth?
