“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
What an amazing gift! No other present under the tree can compare.
As you race around over the next few days, finishing all your shopping, baking, cleaning, decorating and wrapping, be sure to take a quiet moment to reflect on the greatest gift of all. We can get wrapped up in the chaos of the Christmas season. Sometimes the stress of work and finances, strained relationships, and trying to meet the unrealistic expectations of this holiday can turn what should be joy and wonder, into frustration and depression.
Every Christmas is different. This year you may be missing a family member or dear friend. A job loss is forcing you to cut back on gift-giving, or an illness may be preventing you from attending your favorite, traditional Christmas gathering.
But there is always a reason to celebrate Christmas… and that is the greatest gift of all…. the birth of Jesus.
Merry Christmas from all of us here at the KGOP.
