Kalamazoo County has three special elections scheduled for this Tuesday, May 6th.

Alamo Township has an operating millage proposal.

Otsego Public Schools and Parchment School District each has a bond proposal on the ballot.

Not every county resident is eligible to vote in this special election. Only residents who live within the district boundaries can vote on the proposals. Otsego Public Schools boundaries extend into Alamo, Otsego, Oshtemo, Trowbridge, Pine Grove and Cooper Charter Townships. Parchment School District includes portions of the city of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Charter Township and Cooper Charter Township.

There is no early voting for special elections. You can, however, vote by absentee ballot or show up on election day, at your precinct and vote in person.

This is also a good time to sign up to be on the permanent absentee voter list. You will then automatically be mailed an absentee ballot for every election.
