Michigan Secretary of State Candidate Amanda Love will speak at the Tuesday, March 10 KGOP Luncheon. The noon luncheon is at Jac’s Cekola’s Pizza, 7640 S. Westnedge Avenue in Portage.
Menu is a buffet, with EITHER a variety of pizzas OR a variety of wraps or sub sandwiches. THESE TWO MENUS WILL ROTATE EACH MONTH.
In addition to the above entrees, salad and non-alcoholic beverages included. Cost is $19, which includes sales tax and gratuity. Cash payment preferred; additional charge for payment by credit card.

From Amanda Love's campaign website: "Amanda is a principled leader with two decades of hands-on experience in Michigan’s public and political arenas. From the legislative halls to the campaign trail, Amanda has built a reputation for operational excellence, transparency, and service to the people.
Born and raised in Michigan, Amanda graduated from Saline High School before earning her BA in Public Policy from Western Michigan University.
Her career in public service began as an assistant to Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, where she learned the inner workings of state government and the importance of a responsive, citizen-focused administration. She later served as Legislative Director for two State Representatives, managing their Lansing offices, and as Legal Secretary for Attorney General Bill Schuette's office, where she supported attorneys, drafted key legal documents, and kept operations running efficiently and on budget.
She has recently served as Field Director for the House Republican Campaign Committee and as Oakland County Regional Service Advisor for the House Republican Caucus. In these roles, she has provided real-time legislative updates, coordinated extensive citizen outreach, and represented the Oakland delegation and the House Speaker at local government, business, and community meetings.

Americans for Prosperity is hosting a Phone Bank Pizza Party at KGOP offices on Friday, March 13, at 11 am (after the Friday Coffee).
We’ll be making phone calls to voters in the 35th District (Saginaw County area), urging them to elect Republican Jason Tunney in the May 5 special election.
Tunney is running against a Democrat for the seat, which has been vacant for over a year, when the former 35th District Senator was elected to Congress. In a crass political scheme, Governor Whitmer delayed approving a special election to be held—until now.
In addition, we’ll be writing postcards to members of Congress and the US Senate, urging them to support the proposed REINS Act.
The Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act is a proposed U.S. legislative act designed to increase congressional oversight over federal agencies by requiring both houses of Congress to approve "major" rules—those with an economic impact of $100 million or more—before they take effect. It aims to reduce executive overreach and increase accountability for regulatory costs, though it faces criticism for potentially creating legislative gridlock.

What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, green clothing encouraged! We provide signs, banners, and decorations.
It's a very short parade, only three blocks long. If unable to walk in parade, we'll have a vehicle to ride in. |
