Dec. 8, 2014 (KALAMAZOO, MI) – The Kalamazoo County Republican Party (KGOP) elected its new leadership team tonight during the December Executive Committee meeting.
Scott McGraw of Portage (and a newly elected Kalamazoo County Commissioner) was elected Chairman; SonJalita Hulbert of Kalamazoo was elected Vice-Chair; Chad Dillon of Kalamazoo was elected Treasurer; and Allan Bickle, of Oshtemo Township, was elected Secretary.
“I am honored to be elected as the next KGOP Chairman. I look forward to building our party and making it a united party so that we are ready for the hard work that lies before us,” McGraw said.
“In the next election cycle, we will have the chance to maintain our countywide offices, as well as an excellent opportunity to win back the County Prosecutor, County Sheriff, and County Commission so that Michigan’s comeback won’t slow down anytime soon. This team will be successful in 2016!”
Outgoing KGOP Chair David Worthams stated he is pleased with the leaders taking over the reins. “I’ve been honored to have served as chair for the last two years. I think Scott and his entire team we have the right stuff to keep our party moving forward and will bring continued success to all of our friends and neighbors throughout Kalamazoo County.”
The new leadership team will begin their terms on Jan. 1, 2015 and will hold their offices for two years.
